Suspect arrested after early morning shooting in Okmulgee

(OKMULGEE, Okla.) Wednesday morning at approximately 5:30 a.m., the Creek Nation Lighthorse Police Department requested Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) assistance after a shooting at the Travel Plaza in Okmulgee. A couple got into an argument at 3:30 a.m., which led to a shooting that occurred outside of their vehicle. Joseph Robertson (50) was shot; he was taken to a hospital in Tulsa where he was treated and released. Wednesday afternoon Robertson’s girlfriend, Kelly Allen (45), was arrested by the OSBI and Creek Nation Lighthorse Police in Tulsa. She was transported to the Okmulgee County Jail and is facing a charge of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.
