Teen killed walking down highway

(SAND SPRINGS, Okla.) A 14-year-old boy from Sand Springs is dead after being hit by a car early Wednesday. Troopers said the boy was walking down the middle of State Highway 51 just east of Bermuda Avenue at 6:40 a.m. when he was struck by a car driven by Taylor Emery, 18, also of Sand Springs. The teen died at the scene. Emery was not injured.
