Governor Mary Fallin released the following statement on the Thanksgiving holiday on Wednesday:
“As we prepare to celebrate another Thanksgiving, I ask Oklahomans to reflect on the blessings bestowed on them. We should take a moment to be grateful for our families, friends and colleagues.
“I certainly am thankful to the people of Oklahoma for giving me the opportunity these past eight years to serve as their governor. I appreciate my family’s patience and understanding during this time, and am especially grateful to be blessed with a grandson this year.
“I am also grateful we live in a free nation. My thanks go out to all our men and women in the military, who continue to protect freedom at home and abroad.
“Finally, I’m wishing everyone in Oklahoma a safe, happy and blessed holiday.”
