Man charged with murder after crossbow victim dies

(TULSA, Okla.) On April 6, officers responded to a crossbow injury at 4618 S. 91st E Ave. Victim John Preston Woodward, 36, was found shot in the head by a single crossbow bolt. Woodward was taken to the hospital. He died from his injuries on Thursday. Jered Lee, 32, turned himself in to detectives and was questioned at Detective Division. He was booked on Assault with a Dangerous Weapon charges. Detectives amended those charges to first degree murder on Friday.
