OHP finds vehicle, previously involved in fatal hit and run, buried underground

OHP Traffic Homicide Investigators have located the 2000 white Plymouth Voyager that struck and killed Curtis Wayne Johnson on November 20 near McAlester.

Investigators determined that the car had been buried and found it Friday in Pittsburg county.

US Marshals Task Force and OHP Troopers arrested Tonia Beall several days ago and booked her into the Pittsburg County jail. She will be charged with 1st degree manslaughter for the death of Johnson along with leaving the scene of a fatal collision.

OHP has identified the suspect who disposed of the vehicle with accomplices and more arrests will be coming.

Special thanks to the City of McAlester Public Works heavy equipment operators for assistance with the excavation.
