Storms swept through eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas Friday night with numerous reports of damaging winds and at least two or three tornadoes.

Survey teams will go out Saturday to investigate the 60+ mile damage path starting near Webbers Falls and ending near Colcord in east central OK. This was the strongest storm of the evening, with tornadic debris signatures present for the latter part of its life cycle.

We have already received many reports of damage near Cookson and Lake Tenkiller.

Areas in southeast Oklahoma and western Arkansas were also hit hard, with multiple recorded wind gusts of 60-65 mph.
