Arrest Made in Johnson City Murder

(JOHNSON CITY, N.Y) One man is dead and another is in custody following the discovery of a gruesome scene on a local highway Friday.
Johnson City Police said they responded to a one car crash on State Route 17 at Exit 70N. There they found a car in a grassy area off of the shoulder and a dead man inside of it.
We’re told the victim was shot and stabbed. He has yet to be identified.
Officers found a second man, Brandon M. Rose, 25, of Endicott, hiding nearby.
Endicott was arrested and charged with Murder in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Firearm.
Officials said the New York State Police, the New York State Police Forensic Investigation Unit, the Broome County District Attorney’s Office, the Broome County Sheriff’s Office, and the Broome County Sheriff’s Academy Recruits assisted the Johnson City Police with this investigation.
