(ADA, Okla.) A march to support law enforcement will take place on Main Street in Ada Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. At least 300 people are expected to gather to thank Ada Police, Lighthorse Police, the Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Office, East Central Police, CLEET Officers, and law enforcement, in general. James Kercheval is one of the event’s organizers. He credits the idea to his wife, who works as a counselor at a prison. “With everything that is going on with our law enforcement and how they are being mistreated and how so many are leaving their law enforcement jobs behind, I just want them to know they still have the support of the community,” Kercheval said. “And we still care for them and support them putting their lives on the line for us every day they put the uniform on.” Saturday’s event is an offshoot of the Facebook group “Back the Blue Ada Oklahoma”, which has 1.4k members.
