Storms and near normal temperatures forecast for next week
OklahomaWeather
(TULSA, Okla.) Drier air moved into eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas Sunday in the wake of a cold front. Smoke from the western wildfires continued to obscure the sky as well.
Monday and Tuesday look to be dry with temperatures generally slightly below normal as high pressure prevails at the surface and aloft.
The chances of showers and thunderstorms will increase on Wednesday and continue into Thursday evening as tropical moisture is pulled into the area and interacts with a weak mid-level shear axis. The shower and thunderstorm chances will be enhanced on Thursday as cold front moves through the region.
A return to dry weather is expected Friday into next weekend as high pressure builds into the region.
