Faith and law enforcement teaming up this weekend

(TULSA, Okla.) National Faith & Blue Weekend is a collaborative initiative that builds bridges and breaks down biases through activities and outreach amongst law enforcement professionals and the communities they serve. On October 9-12, 2020, the Tulsa Police Department will be partnering with local houses of worship and faith-based organizations for a weekend of events designed to build trust and understanding. Join your local law enforcement and members of your community for a weekend of resolution and reconciliation.   The following events are open to the public and will be live streamed across multiple social media platforms:   Friday October 9, 2020 @ Islamic Society of Tulsa 4630 S Irvington Avenue (Outdoors)   4:30PM - Soccer game TPD vs IST 5:30PM - Dinner served by IST (Hamburgers) 6:00PM - Panel Discussion on Community Policing   Saturday October 10, 2020 @ 100 N Greenwood Avenue Faith and Blue Prayer March   11AM - 1PM Route begin at John Hope Franklin Reconciliation Park, 321 North Detroit and will continue South to Archer, West to Denver, South to 6th Street and will conclude at Main Station.   Sunday October 11, 2020 @ SpiritLife Church 5345 S Peoria Avenue Cookout and Basketball game   1PM - 3PM Cookout, Carnival games, music, prizes, and more.   3:30-5PM Community Basketball game   Monday October 12, 2020 @ Newblock Park  The Well Church & Tulsa Metropolitan Ministry Community Service Project   5PM - 7PM Meal service
