(TULSA, Okla.) With forecasted lows around 32 for Monday morning for parts of Osage and Pawnee counties, we have opted for a freeze watch that will run from 1 am to 9 am Monday. Periodic freezing rain chances are expected to be confined to parts of far northeast Oklahoma from late Sunday night into early Wednesday morning when temperatures will moderate and will support all liquid precipitation. Across the rest of eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas, rain chances will be possible through Thursday with some periods of heavy rainfall possible along with isolated thunder chances. An upper level system will remain to the west over the next few days, and will result in potential for light wintry weather Monday night and Tuesday morning, and again Tuesday night into Wednesday morning over portions of northeast Oklahoma. At this time, the greatest potential for wintry weather looks to be northwest of Interstate 44. Uncertainty remains with the strength of the cold air which will impact precipitation amounts and locations. Additionally, elevated instability developing late Tuesday night and into Wednesday across parts of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas will be sufficient for an isolated thunder mention. Precipitation Chances for precipitation will continue into Thursday when at that time the low will have pushed east through the region. The following Hazardous Weather Outlook advisory is for much of Eastern Oklahoma as well as Northwest and West Central Arkansas. MONDAY...Winter Weather Potential...High Wind Potential.
