Arrest made in connection to bomb threat at state capitol

(LANSING, Mich.) The Michigan State Police have arrested a man after investigating a bomb threat at the state's capitol building on Thursday. The announcement of the arrest came from Attorney General Dana Nessel's office. The attorney general's office says Michael Varrone, a resident of Charlotte is the man who was arrested in connection with threat. According to the Michigan State Police, Varrone allegedly called a control operator at the Capitol complex early Thursday morning and said everyone needed to leave the building because it was going to explode. The person who took the call immediately shared the information with state police. Authorities searched the building and determined that the threat was false. According to the attorney general's office Varrone was taken into custody outside his home on Thursday afternoon. He's being housed at the Lansing City Jail. Attorney General Dana Nessel's office is looking into possible charges for Varrone.
