Teen drowns after falling through ice

(OKMULGEE COUNTY, Okla.) A teenage girl is dead after following a dog onto an icy pond. Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the drowning happened on 6th Street in Dewar a little after 5 p.m. Thursday. We’re told the 17-year-old girl walked out onto a frozen pond to get a dog and fell through the ice. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
