(TULSA, Okla.) UPDATE: The human remains/skeleton found on Tuesday near Stuart Park have been identified as 34-year-old Samantha Puckett. Puckett was reported missing in November of 2016, and foul play was suspected in her disappearance. The suspect, 40-year-old John Paul Gladney committed suicide as detectives served a search warrant on his home in December of 2016. Special thanks to the detectives and medical examiner's office who worked very quickly to identify the remains and solve this case. ORIGINAL STORY: On Monday morning, a photographer working just west of the Gilcrease Museum near Stuart Park found a skull in the woods. Wounds to the skull indicate that this was not a natural death, and officers are treating the scene like a homicide investigation. Detectives are now doing a comprehensive search of the area to try to find the rest of the remains. It appears someone killed the person, dumped the body, and the remains have been there for quite some time. Anyone with information about the remains or what happened should call Tulsa Crime Stoppers at (918) 596-COPS. You can remain anonymous, and cash rewards are paid for information that leads to an arrest.
