(LANSING, Mich.) The Grand Traverse County Health Department and District Health Department #10 are now allowing vaccine appointments to be made for 12 to 15 year olds.

Kids between 12 and 15 are eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine.

The eligibility comes after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued an Emergency Use Authorization to use the Pfizer vaccine in kids between ages 12 and 15 and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommended it.

A parent or guardian must be with a child that is receiving Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine.

Parents interested in getting their child vaccinated against COVID-19 can schedule the appointments online.

The Grand Traverse County Health Department is asking parents to go to: www.gtcountycovid19.com/vaccine.

District Health Department #10 says parents can go to: www.dhd10.org/schedule.
