Just before 2 a.m. on December 16, officers discovered an unknown white female lying on the north edge of the roadway in the 7400 block of East Admiral Place with traumatic injuries consistent with an auto-pedestrian collision. The female, later identified as 29-year-old Felicity McGinnis, had massive head injuries and was transported to St John’s Hospital where she was pronounced dead a few hours later. After extensive investigation and review of area surveillance video, officers discovered that the victim had been crossing the street from south to north when she was struck by a westbound pickup which then fled the scene to the west. The victim did not attempt to cross at a corner or crosswalk but stepped into the very dark roadway in the middle of the block. The driver of the pickup fled the scene immediately after the collision but was captured on nearby surveillance video. Tulsa Police officers need help locating a dark colored 1998-2005 year Ford Ranger pickup. As a result of the collision, the Ranger is missing the outside passenger mirror and has a broken passenger headlight. The preliminary investigation did not indicate any traffic violations on the part of the pickup. Investigators urge the driver of the dark Ford Ranger or anyone with any additional information to contact authorities at 918-596-9222. As always, information may be passed on to investigators anonymously through the Crimestoppers tip line at 918-596-COPS.
