(TULSA, Okla.) We will have a cool start to our Monday morning, with temperatures in the upper 50s in some of the colder locations to mid 60s elsewhere.

A warming trend is expected Monday into Tuesday but the lower dewpoints will keep heat indices in check, especially on Monday.

Another cold front will move into northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas Tuesday night with mild/dry conditions into Wednesday behind the front. Unfortunately, an upper high, currently over the west, will begin to shift back east into the southern Plains late week with the unseasonably warm weather returning.

The forecast appears to remain dry through the extended periods and beyond with no significant chance for rain.

Fire weather will likely start to become a concern Friday into Saturday of next week with hot and dry conditions and gusty southwest winds. Some locations, especially across northeast Oklahoma, have only received limited rainfall over the last several weeks and dry grasses could become a fire spread issue.
