(TULSA, Okla.) High temperatures well above normal are expected Sunday and Monday with gusty southerly winds both days. A weak cold front will push into northeast Oklahoma during the day Tuesday, along with increasing cloud cover keeping temperatures only slightly cooler. The cold frontal push on Tuesday continues to appear minimal with the boundary quickly lifting northward as pressures fall in advance of the next stronger wave.

The forecast remains mostly consistent for the Wednesday through Thursday time frame as the next storm system passes the region. Moisture will steadily increase across the region on Wednesday and

scattered light showers and possibly a few thunderstorms may develop within this pattern, however higher chances of convection will ultimately focus on the advancing cold front.

Timing remains a challenge. Blended guidance precipitation chances remain the best course of action with showers and storm chances increasing late in the day Wednesday and continuing through Wednesday evening. Any rain chances on Thursday continue to trend downward with the faster frontal progression. Instability across the warm sector continues to appear minimal and any severe weather potential is likely to remain limited in both coverage and duration.

Cooler and breezy conditions are expected Thursday and Friday with below normal temperatures returning a few days late this week into next weekend.
