(TULSA, Okla.) Warm and dry conditions will prevail through the upcoming work week, with a cold front bringing deviations from that theme for next weekend.

Through the upcoming work week, the large-scale pattern features an upper-level ridge in the west and troughing in the east, placing northwest flow across the Plains. This pattern continues to favor fronts moving through at least a part of the area every couple of days that drop temperatures back a few degrees at most.

The next one of these fronts will move through late Tuesday and into Wednesday with another set for Friday into Saturday.

Immediately ahead of both fronts, downslope low-level flow will help lead to afternoon temperatures 15 to 20 degrees above normal.

Moving into the weekend, the upper-level pattern shifts some, leading to more troughing in the central United States. This will allow some colder air to push into Oklahoma and Arkansas, along with the introduction of some low shower chances, especially south and east.
