(KENT COUNTY, Mich.) Two 18-year-olds suspected of shooting people outside of a graduation ceremony at East Kentwood High School's Football stadium Thursday evening are now in custody.
The two men, both from Grand Rapids, were arrested after a traffic stop in Livonia, a Detroit suburb, on Friday.
Three other people were detained. Multiple weapons were found in the vehicle.
The Kent County Sheriff's office began receiving multiple calls about a shooting at the stadium on Thursday around 7:20 p.m. A graduation ceremony for Crossroads Alternative High School took place there earlier that evening.
Deputies who were working security ran outside the stadium after hearing gun shots, but the suspects had already left the scene.
A 16-year-old male from Texas and a 40-year-old female from Grand Rapids were injured. Both found their own transportation to the hospital, according to the Kent County Sheriff's Office.
The male victim was shot in the wrist and the female victim was shot in the wrist and stomach.
KSCO said video of the incident showed gunshots being fired from a white Hyundai sedan that sped out of the parking lot.
As that vehicle sped away, a group of a people in a white Mercedes fired shots at the Hyundai.
While two people are confirmed to be suspects, the sheriff's office says they believe there could be as many as five different shooters involved.
KSCO also says the people in each of the vehicles involved might have known each other.
The white Mercedes was found in Grand Rapids early Friday morning; the white Hyundai was found abandoned and still running.
Officials said the Hyundai was a stolen vehicle from Kentwood.
We're told the male who was shot has left the hospital and the female victim is in critical but stable condition.
KSCO is still reviewing video and working to identify any other potential suspects.
Anyone with information about the shooting can submit photos or video to a link created by the Sheriff's office.
