Large fight leads to gunshots, two in critical condition

(TULSA, Okla.) On Monday just after 11 p.m. officers responded to a shooting call at the West Wood Apartments located on W. 49th Street. Upon arrival, officers located a victim of an assault down on the ground, and multiple bullets casing and blood. During the initial call, a gunshot victim had not been located. The victim was taken to Saint John’s Hospital and treated for facial and head injuries. Later during the investigation, officers received information that a victim of a shooting showed at Saint Francis Hospital. Officers learned that both injuries had occurred at the West Wood apartments. At the time, officers had limited information because both victims were being treated for serious injuries: one with gunshot wounds in the leg and hip area with one of the bullets striking a main artery, and the other with a head injury and bleeding in the brain. After talking witnesses officers learned that both were involved in a physical confrontation but it’s still unknown how both victims’ sustained injuries. According to witnesses there was a crowd of people fighting and then gunshots were fired and everyone scattered. Officers recovered some evidence at the crime scene, and making efforts to see if any video footage and other witnesses. At this time, both victims are alive. Both listed in critical condition. At this time, names aren’t being released. At this time we have no suspect information. Anyone with information is asked to call Tulsa Police.
