Body found in Pushmataha County identified, two arrested for murder

(PUSHMATAHA COUNTY, Okla.) Human remains found in Pushmataha County Monday have been positively identified as Davey Jo Moore, 56.

Pushmataha County Sheriff BJ Hedgecock requested assistance from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation after Moore’s burned body was discovered by a local hunter.

Investigators with the OSBI and Pushmataha County Sheriff’s Office found Brian James Dunlap, 25, to be responsible for Moore’s death. He was arrested for Murder in the First Degree Wednesday.

Dunlap’s mother Misty Lea Mack, 44, was arrested for Accessory after the Fact, Murder in the Second Degree.

The case remains under investigation.
