Infant found in stolen vehicle, search still on for suspect

(GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.) The Grand Rapids Police Department is looking for a suspect who stole a vehicle with an infant in the backseat on Wednesday afternoon. 

At 3:20 p.m. GRPD officers went to Flat Street NE for a report of a stolen vehicle with a six-month old baby in the backseat. 

Within 30 minutes, officers found the vehicle on Crescent Street NE with the infant still in the back. 

GRPD says the baby appeared to be unharmed. 

Police are still searching for the suspect who is described as a black male between 20 and 30 years old. 

Police say the suspects shirt color was red or pink. 

The Kent County Sheriff's office drone team also assisted in the search.
