GRPD asking for help to identify strong-armed robbery suspect

(GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.) The Grand Rapids Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying an armed robbery suspect from an August incident. 

Photos of the suspect captured by security cameras have been released. 

GRPD says a strong-armed robbery happened at the Family Dollar at 1153 West Fulton Street on August 7th. 

During the incident the suspect pushed an employee to the ground before stealing money from the safe. 

Police say the suspect is described as a light skinned black male who was wearing all black and a ski mask. 

According to GRPD the suspect ran to the north of the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.
