Kent County conducting surveys about internet access and speed
(KENT COUNTY, Mich.) Access to a reliable and speedy internet connection has become a necessity with many working from home and completing schoolwork there, as well.
Both residents and businesses in Kent County are being asked to take a survey about their internet connection to help the county identify gaps in service.
County officials have acknowledged that some residents expressed frustrations over having unreliable internet service.
Kent County officials say the survey will ask if an address has high speed ("broadband") internet and what the speed and cost are of the service.
Kent County is going to use the survey results to determine where high speed internet needs to be expanded so that federal and state dollars can be secured to help make that happen.
The Survey can be completed online or through a paper survey that is available in English and Spanish.
The paper survey can be accessed by calling 616-632-6512.
