ArtPrize ends after 13 years

(GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.) The ArtPrize organization has announced that 2022 was the last year for ArtPrize.

The event, a staple in the community since 2009, is being handed over to the City of Grand Rapids, Downtown Grand Rapids Inc, and the Kendall College of Art and Design to be "reimagined". 

"What started as an experiment in 2009 quickly became something more, and we have an entire community to thank for embracing the ArtPrize idea and taking it to amazing heights," said Rick DeVos, the founder and chairman of ArtPrize. 

DeVos also said it's time to make room more new energy and creativity. 

Since 2009, ArtPrize has attracted millions of people to Grand Rapids from artists to volunteers and visitors near and far.
