First Baptist Church of Broken Arrow will host "A Time to Heal" at 6 p.m. Nov. 6 at 100 W. Albany St.

Eight people died last Thursday in what authorities have described as a murder-suicide at 425 S. Hickory Ave. The husband and wife who died were Brian Anthony Nelson, 34, and Britney Nichole Nelson, 32. Their children, Brian II, 13; Brantley, 9; Vegeta; 7, Ragnar; 5, Kurgan, 2; and Britannica, 1, also died in the incident.

The Broken Arrow Police Department, Oklahoma State Fire Marshal's Office, ATF and medical examiners are continuing the investigation and the official cause of death for the victims hasn't been released. But authorities said they don't believe the victims died due to the fire that had engulfed the back of the house.

Chaplains and private counseling services have been brought in to help first responders deal with what they witnessed at the crime scene, and city residents have expressed shock and disbelief about the incident.
