The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Mckenzie Gee, 29, of Sapulpa was driving west on the turnpike, a quarter mile west of U.S. 75 at about 8:23 p.m. when the incident occurred.

The woman’s vehicle left the turnpike for unknown reasons, crashed through an Oklahoma Turnpike Authority fence, continued through a backyard and struck a house in the Southern Reserve neighborhood just north of the highway.

The vehicle caught fire and sparked a blaze that heavily damaged the home. Gee was pronounced deceased at the scene by EMSA.

The accident is still under investigation. OHP was assisted by the Jenks Police Department, Jenks Fire Department, Tulsa Fire Department and EMSA.
