Suspected shooter and three victims dead after mass shooting on MSU's campus

(EAST LANSING, Mich.) The Michigan State University Police say the suspected shooter as well as three victims are dead after Monday night's mass shooting. 

Five additional victims were taken to Sparrow Hospital with injuries and police say some of those injuries are life threatening. 

According to MSU police the suspect was found off campus with what is believed to be a self inflicted gunshot wound.

Law enforcement from multiple agencies spent hours trying to locate the suspect on Monday night. 

The chaos started at 8:18 p.m. when multiple officers responded to Berkey Hall for calls about shots being fired. 

Upon arrival, officers found multiple people with injuries. 

There was also a shooting at the MSU Union building and police say they found victims there as well. 

The shelter-in-place order has been lifted. 

All campus activities are cancelled for at leas the next 48 hours.
