(OWASSO, Okla.) An Owasso high school student was killed and two other students seriously injured in a wreck Wednesday afternoon. Troopers said the wreck happened on 96th Street North just east of 177th East Avenue in Rogers County around 4:30 p.m. We’re told a 16-year-old girl was driving west at a high rate of speed when she drove off the left side of the road and hit two trees. She died at the scene. Two 15-year-old girls were riding with her. Both were taken to local hospitals, one in critical condition. Owasso Public Schools confirmed all three are high school students. District counselors will be available Thursday for students and staff at the Owasso High School campuses. The wreck remains under investigation.
