(BINGHAMTON, N.Y.) The Broome County Urban League is no stranger to the act of giving back. The organization often hosts free giveaways to distribute donations they get throughout the year, everything from household items to clothing.

Youth and family services director Nikki Restino says the abundance of donations they receive is often overwhelming.

“It’s kind of nice to see how the web of community comes together and people think of the Urban League when they have items to donate," Restino said. "Majority of the space in the office is usually occupied with donations and it's actually really nice quality items."

With Halloween spirit in full flex, their next giveaway is themed "No Tricks, All Treats”.

Aaliyah Fernandez helped plan the event. She said the theme is fitting because there is no catch; these really are quality donations for the public, free of charge.

“I think sometimes people assume when something is free, there’s got to be something wanted in return," Fernandez said. "They may even think the clothes must be ugly if it’s free. But this is quality clothes, bedding and household appliances completely free with nothing in exchange."

The Urban League will also be providing attendees with hygiene kits, apple cider and doughnuts at the event.

“No Tricks, All Treats” will take place in the front yard of the Urban League’s offices on 88 Main Street Binghamton, New York, this Saturday, October 28th from 11:00am - 3:00pm.

If you have any items you would like to donate to the Urban League for future giveaways, call 607-723-7303 or find them on Facebook at Broome County Urban League.
