(TULSA COUNTY, Okla.) The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office said 28 horses, 2 pigs and 19 dogs were seized from a home near Skiatook Thursday. We’re told the owner is now the subject of an animal cruelty investigation. Deputies said the investigation was launched after a horse was pulled from a frozen pond over the weekend. Investigators found horses on the property had no access to fresh water and very little food, and the dogs and pigs were eating the remains of dead horses. We’re told several animals were also in need of medical care. TCSO thanked the Humane Society of Tulsa and Blaze’s Tribute Equine Rescue for their help in saving the animals.
