8-year-old seriously injured after driving ATV off embankment

(MARSHALL COUNTY, Okla.) Troopers said an 8-year-old boy is in serious condition after he drove an ATV off a four foot beach embankment Sunday. We’re told it happened on a private trail in the Community of Taylor’s Island View in Marshall County around 10:30 a.m. The child was taken to Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas, with a head injury before being transported to a hospital in Dallas. A 14-year-old boy riding with him was not injured. Both were wearing seatbelts but not helmets. Troopers said the cause of the wreck was speed and inexperience.
