(TULSA, Okla.) A warming trend began Sunday and will continue into next week. Only slim chances of showers and thunderstorms are expected by Tuesday.
Overall, the work week ahead looks to be fairly quiet, with upper level ridging building into the area, leading to near to above normal temperatures in the 80s and little chance of showers and thunderstorms. Definitely not the convective weather we are used to for this time of year.
A small chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon is worth mentioning, as a fast moving wave on the east side of the building ridge dives southeastward across northwest Arkansas, but most spots should remain dry.
The next potential weather maker on the horizon will likely affect the area next weekend as a trough approaches the Plains.
