(BRYAN COUNTY, Okla.) A man is dead after drowning in the Red River Saturday night. Troopers said it happened 1/4 mile east of the Denison Dam around 10 p.m. We’re told 28-year-old Louis Jackson of Denison was fishing with a family member when he took a nap inside the vehicle. The family member came back to check on Jackson and discovered he was gone. The family called the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office, and a hat Jackson was wearing was found floating in the river. Oklahoma Highway Patrol Marine Enforcement located Jackson’s body at 4:15 p.m. Sunday. It was recovered by the Colbert Fire Department Dive Team.
