(PONTOTOC COUNTY, Okla.) Two people are dead after a wreck a couple miles southeast of Ada early Wednesday. Troopers said it happened on State Highway 3E. We’re told 44-year-old Nathan Nolen of Ada was driving east when he crossed the center line and struck another vehicle heading west. The driver of that vehicle, 49-year-old Deborah Smithee of Stonewall, and her passenger, 49-year-old Charles Coffman of Tupelo, were both pronounced dead at the scene. Another of Smithee’s passengers, 57-year-old Tommy Hendley of Stonewall, was flown to an Oklahoma City hospital in critical condition. Nolan was flown to an Oklahoma City hospital with leg injuries. The wreck remains under investigation.
