(OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.) The warmest season of the year brings hot festivals to Oklahoma. From classic food festivals to live music extravaganzas, there are endless ways for people to celebrate in the Sooner State. So load up the car, roll down the windows and head to one of the stand-out summer events listed below! Rockin' the Park Medicine Park / July 6-7 Visit the charming cobblestone-lined streets of Medicine Park for a weekend of family-friendly fun. This free event features local and regional rock music performances, a Jeep “show and shine” and plenty of shopping and dining opportunities.   Woody Guthrie Folk Festival Okemah / July 10-14 Soak up the friendly atmosphere, enjoy live entertainment alongside music lovers from all over the world and celebrate this Oklahoma-born folk icon at this Okemah festival. The town comes to life with children's activities, poetry readings and stages buzzing with live music. Blackberry Festival McLoud / July 12-13 This much-loved festival, which began in the 1940s, entertains visitors with plenty of blackberry-themed events such as a parade, royalty pageant and the selling of fresh blackberries, cobblers, sodas and teas. Stick around for fireworks after dark. An Affair of the Heart Tulsa / July 12-14 Get ready to indulge in some serious shopping at one of the largest arts and craft shows in the United States. Browse thousands of exhibitors offering everything from antiques and collectibles to jewelry and decor at this three-day event. Porter Peach Festival Porter / July 18-20 Head to this sweet summer event and enjoy an open rodeo, cooking contests, a peach auction, parade and more. Browse through classic cars while listening to live music and don't forget to enjoy Porter peaches in cobblers, jams and ice cream. Aquapalooza at Grand Lake Disney / July 20 Whether you’re boating or floating, head to Grand Lake for a high-energy concert on the water. Tulsa’s own House Party will be performing on a 30x50 foot barge stage anchored 200 feet into the water, where over 14,000 concert-goers will gather for live music, free inflatables, beer pong and more. Stratford Peach Festival Stratford / July 20 Sink your teeth into a juicy Stratford peach during this beloved hometown celebration. This time-honored tradition will also include live entertainment, arts and craft vendors, a car show, old-fashioned games and more. Taste of Summer Ice Cream Festival Broken Arrow / July 20 Cool off with delicious, all-you-can-eat Blue Bell ice cream for the whole family. This tasty event also includes a kids zone, live entertainment, touch-a-truck and a marketplace with carnival food vendors. Valliant Watermelon Festival Valliant / July 26-27 Nothing says summer like a thick slice of watermelon, so head to Valliant for this hometown festival. Events will include a parade and weenie dog races, as well as seed spitting and watermelon eating contests. Pawnee Bill's Wild West Show Pawnee / July 26-27 Saddle up for a trip to the Old West and witness trick roping, trick shooting, trick riding, cowboy songs and more in this recreation of the original Wild West Show. There will also be ranch activities, demonstrations and a medicine man show.
