(TULSA, Okla.) On Monday, at 8:55 a.m., officers were radio assigned to the Sierra Point Apartments, located at 1300 S. 107th East Ave, regarding a 1st degree burglary that had just occurred at that location. While en route officers learned that the suspect had fled that apartment. As officers arrived at the apartment complex dispatch advised a second caller had called 911 to report another possible 1st degree burglary in the same apartment complex. The second caller advised a suspect had been forcefully knocking on their front door. It was reported that when the victim opened the door the suspect attempted to forcefully gain entry into the apartment. It was reported that the victim then grabbed a knife and stabbed the suspect one (1) time in his left arm, and one (1) time in his left lower torso. It was reported that the victim then held onto the suspect’s arm and closed the door on the suspect while his wife called 911. When officers arrived the suspect was taken into custody and EMSA transported to a local hospital for treatment. At this time the condition of the suspect is unknown, however he was awake and talking to officers and EMSA prior to transport. Upon discharge the suspect will be booked on charges of 1st degree burglary for both incidents. At this time it is unknown what the suspect’s intentions were by entering these two (2) apartments. Detectives are continuing the investigations in order to determine all the facts. The arrestee was identified as DeLonzo Simon, a 40 year old black male.
