Arrest made in Major County murder for hire plot

(MAJOR COUNTY, Okla.) A 25-year-old suspect is in custody after authorities uncovered a murder for hire plot. On July 10, the Major County Sheriff’s Office requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) assist with the investigation involving Kandi Neilson. Neilson attempted to hire a hitman to kill her estranged wife and her estranged wife’s new boyfriend. OSBI agents, with assistance from the Major County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Neilson on July 12. Neilson is facing a charge of Solicitation of First Degree Murder. She was booked in the Major County Jail and was denied bond.
