Shots fired at Tulsa home

On Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 2342 hours officers were radio assigned to 5921 E. Newton St. in reference to shots heard.  Upon arrival officers made contact with the victim/person reporting who stated she was in an argument with her step-father, Michael Goodroad.  The victim stated Michael Goodroad arrived to the residence in a white 2010 Ford F-150 Crew Cab.  Michael Goodroad did not approve of her current boyfriend.  The victim also stated that Michael Goodroad told her that if she did not leave her boyfriend that her family would no longer have anything to do with her.

The victim stated she told Michael Goodroad that she was not leaving her boyfriend.  This infuriated Michael and he produced a handgun and fired multiple rounds at the residence.  Fortunately, no one was injured.  Officers discovered five (5) .45 caliber cartridge casings on E. Newton St. that were fired from Michael’s truck and two additional .45 caliber cartridge casings in the front yard of 5921 E. Newton St.  

It appears that someone fired rounds back at Michael but the witnesses are not divulging that information.  
Twenty-five minutes after the shots heard call at 5921 E. Newton St. officers were radio assigned to 434 S. Darlington Ave. in reference another shots fired call.  Upon arrival officers made contact with the caller who stated they observed an older dark 4-door sedan traveling north on Darlington Ave. when the vehicle slowed and fired three rounds into the air.  Officers recovered three .40 caliber cartridge casings.

While speaking to the caller officers observed a white Ford F-150 pull into the driveway of 438 S. Darlington and enter the residence.  Officer Holden stated the man entering the residence did not appear concerned.


During the investigation of the shots fired call on E. Newton St. officers learned that the suspect on the E. Newton call resides at 438 S. Darlington Ave.  Officer Wall observed a dark colored vehicle at 5921 E. Newton St. residence.   


No arrests were made and Michael Goodroad has not been located or interviewed at the time of this writing.
