As the summer heat gives way to the cooler temperatures of fall, Oklahoma gears up for the season with numerous fairs, delicious food festivals and outdoor events set among ever-changing fall foliage. If you're searching for something to make your autumn dreams come alive, look no further than Oklahoma's wide and varied October event calendar.  Tulsa State Fair Tulsa / September 26 - October 6 Tulsa’s largest annual event is an entertainment bonanza with free concerts held each day, exhibitions, stage shows and so much more. Bring the kids along for this year’s Disney on Ice performance and also bring a healthy appetite for all your favorite grilled, smoked, fried or frozen fair delicacies. Honobia Bigfoot Festival & Conference Honobia / October 4-5 Whether you’re a passionate Bigfoot believer or a confirmed Sasquatch skeptic, there’s plenty to see and do at this fun and fascinating annual event. Browse unique crafts, go on a nature walk, ride on the ATV trails and hear thrilling (and chilling) Bigfoot tales around the nighttime campfire.   Woolaroc Fall Traders Encampment Bartlesville / October 4-5 Step back in time to when the West was young and experience the rugged pioneer life firsthand at this two-day event.
