A look at the week ahead

(TULSA, Okla.) The next several days will be warm, until a cold front arrives on Wednesday.   A weak cold front will move across the area ‪Monday afternoon‬ and evening before returning north as a warm front ‪Tuesday afternoon‬ and evening. Little to no cooling is expected with this front, with only a wind shift to the north and some increase in cloud cover expected.   A much stronger cold front will sweep across the area ‪Wednesday night‬ and Thursday accompanied by widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms. Locally heavy rainfall will be possible in some places. Forecast amounts from Tuesday evening through Thursday afternoon range from around half an inch in southeast Oklahoma to around two inches in northeast Oklahoma. Severe weather is unlikely. Cold temperatures Thursday and Friday will give way to much warmer weather by next weekend as southerly winds return.   Monday   Mostly sunny, with a high near 66.
