Public invited to 22nd Annual Dream Keepers Awards Ceremony

(TULSA, Okla.) The Greater Tulsa Area Indian Affairs Commission will hold its 22nd Annual Dream Keepers Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, November 19, at 6 p.m. in Founders Hall at the OU-Tulsa Schusterman Center, 4502 E. 41st St. The event is held during National Native American Heritage Month to honor the Dream Keepers and celebrate Tulsa’s diversity. This event is open to the public, with $5 tickets sold at the door – no RSVPs necessary. Refreshments will be served. Guests also may bid on items in a silent auction. Former award recipient veterans will comprise the color guard for the ceremony, with Commissioner Matt Roberts to serve as master of ceremonies. Awards will be presented to these Dream Keepers: Lewis B. Ketchum Excellence in Business – James Pepper Henry Charles Chibitty Family Community Contributor Award – Marcia Taylor Rennard Strickland Education Leadership Award – Jackie Caseboldt Moscelyne Larkin Cultural Achievement Award – Tonia Weavel Dr. Ralph Dru Career & Professional Award – Janice Edmiston Jim Thorpe Sports Excellence Award – Jim Quetone Roberta Gardipe American Indian Veterans Award – Jamie Clark
