(TULSA, Okla.) A number of officers responded to the Quick Trip at 4795 South Yale Avenue just after 11 Friday morning in reference to an armed robbery just occurred.  The suspect was asked to leave the store by the manager and pulled an axe out of his waistband and threatened he would cut his head off. The suspect said, “this is a robbery”, and took some chips and soda and fled on foot.  Apparently, there was some mix up and the robbery had actually occurred about 45 minutes earlier.  Officers reviewed the video at the Quick Trip. Officers Ken Stewart and Sean Love recognized the suspect as Brandon Saxton Edwards. They located him a short time later and took him into custody.  The Axe was recovered, and the stolen items were observed in the apartment.  This was a great team effort in quickly locating and arresting this dangerous suspect.  Edwards is a large and intimidating person (6’6 and 300 lbs) and has continually stolen from this store in the past.
