Nicoma Park police officer arrested on child sexual abuse charges

(NICOMA PARK, Okla.) Agents from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) arrested 51-year-old Douglas Spencer, a Nicoma Park police officer, for multiple charges involving child sexual abuse. The Nicoma Park Police Department requested OSBI assistance after allegations of inappropriate touching of a minor child by one of their officers were reported to the department. The incidents described to OSBI agents involved two 14-year-old females, although several years apart. Spencer was arrested Friday morning at the Nicoma Park Police Department and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on a $450,000 bond. His charges include one count of Rape in the First Degree by Instrumentation and two counts of Indecent or Lewd Acts to a Child Under 16. The OSBI investigation is ongoing.
