(OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.) Celebrate the holiday season in Oklahoma! December brings a festive mix of light displays, Christmas parades and old-fashioned winter fun to big cities and charming small towns across the state. Choose from our December event highlights below or search all December events to find celebrations to make your holidays bright.   Downtown in December   Oklahoma City / ‪Through February 2‬   Downtown Oklahoma City comes alive as a months-long winter playground during this annual holiday celebration. From ice skating to twinkling light displays and free museum Sundays, downtown offers a holiday retreat for the whole family.   Winterfest   Tulsa / ‪Through January 5‬   Get into the holly jolly spirit with horse-drawn carriage rides, live entertainment and beautiful light displays - including Oklahoma’s tallest outdoor Christmas tree! Winterfest also has one of the nation’s largest ice rinks where you can skate beneath the skyline.   ‪Rhema Christmas Lights‬   Broken Arrow / ‪Through January 1‬   Drive, walk or take a horse-drawn carriage ride through over two million lights at this beloved holiday celebration. The crowning jewel is the Rhema Park bridge, which is decked out with 90,000 lights all synchronized to Christmas music. Chickasha Festival of Lights   Chickasha / ‪Through December 31‬   This winter extravaganza is recognized as one of the top ten light shows in the nation and features over 3.5 million twinkling lights. Get out of your car and enjoy the lights on foot or from a carriage, then warm up with hot cocoa and a cinnamon roll from the concession stand. Christmas in the Park   Yukon / ‪Through December 31‬   Catch the Santa Express train and cruise through Chisholm Trail Park in Yukon to spot festive Christmas light displays. Each holiday season, three interconnected parks are decked out with over 425 displays and five million lights, including displays that twinkle in sync to cheerful Christmas music.   Castle Christmas   Muskogee / ‪November 28 - December 31‬ Experience one of the world's largest collections of holiday inflatables and Christmas lights at the Castle of Muskogee. Whether you drive, ride the train or take a holiday hayride through the kingdom’s winter wonderland, you’re sure to enjoy over 2,000 festive displays. Philbrook Festival   Tulsa / ‪November 29 - December 28‬   Walk through glowing gardens adorned by thousands of twinkling bulbs, browse festive holiday artwork and peek at an amazing LEGO village on select nights through December. Special events include train rides through the gardens and children’s art activities.   Woolaroc Wonderland of Lights   Bartlesville / ‪November 29 - December 22‬   Celebrate the magic of Christmas with a stroll or wagon ride through a spectacular display of over 750,000 glistening lights adorning Woolaroc each weekend. If you’re lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of the Holiday Horseman covered in lights riding across the grounds.   Territorial Christmas Celebrations   Guthrie / ‪November 30 - December 14‬   Step back in time with a holiday tour of downtown Guthrie’s Victorian architecture, then celebrate the season with a horse-drawn carriage ride, traditional lighted parade and tree lighting before enjoying some wassail in honor of the new Territorial Governor. Minco Honey Festival   Minco / ‪December 7‬   At this sweet event, learn more about honeybees and their delicious nectar while touring Oklahoma’s largest honey production facility. After the tour, enjoy a small-town holiday celebration complete with Santa and an arts and crafts show.   Experience Elk City's Christmas in the Park   The best Christmas light show and display in Western Oklahoma will now ‪through December 31‬, with lights on display every night ‪from 6pm – 11pm‬. Come check out the newest addition – the Holly Jolly Trolley. Free weekend activities are available every Friday and ‪Saturday from 6-9pm‬ ‪through December 21.
