A warm and windy week ahead

(TULSA, Okla.) Winds are expected to diminish overnight, and the low clouds will shift eastward into Monday. Surface high pressure will prevail Monday, leading to cool temperatures and light winds area wide. Overall, the weather pattern will remain fairly active, with several disturbances moving through the area during the coming week. However, precipitation will not accompany all of them. In general, dry weather and warming temperatures will occur through the middle of the work week. A fast moving disturbance Thursday and into Thursday night will bring a good chance of rain to most of the forecast area, with dry weather and slightly cooler temperatures returning Friday and Saturday. On Sunday and continuing into early the following week, better rain chances look to accompany a strong cold front. We have not included any thunder chances with this front, but this will need to be looked at closer as next weekend approaches. Monday Sunny, with a high near 49.
