The shooter ran eastbound to the Flying J located at Admiral Place and 129th East Avenue.  While at the Flying J, the clerk saw a male who appeared to be very nervous.  The clerk called TPD to report the suspicious subject.  After reviewing a photo of the suspect, the clerk confirmed the suspicious suspect was the same person TPD were looking for in the area.  TPD used the field officers, helicopters and K9 Officer to assist in the apprehension.  The suspect was able to escape due to the time lapse in the suspicious call.    The suspect’s phone was recovered at Flying J.  The suspect had contacted several people looking for a ride from the area.  TPD stopped a vehicle at 1100 S. 101st East Avenue who had admitted to giving the suspect a ride from the Flying J area.  The victim, Tremayne Pogue, was transported to St. John’s Hospital for evaluation.  Pogue was shot in the upper chest by a small caliber weapon.  The victim was taking into surgery after the CAT scan.  The suspect, Dwayne Knighten, is still at large. TPD is following leads for the capture and apprehension of the suspect.
