(TULSA, Okla.) A cold front will move toward Oklahoma overnight and arrive in northeast Oklahoma Monday morning and into northwest Arkansas by afternoon. Overnight lows will stay on the mild side for most of the area, with south winds and clouds. Falling temperatures are likely by late Monday morning through the afternoon behind the front along with gusty northwest winds. Precipitation chances should largely be focused across southeast Oklahoma into western Arkansas Monday night, where the majority of it will fall as cold rain. There may be a window of opportunity for a light wintry mix after midnight Monday into Tuesday morning. If it’s still precipitating across western Arkansas, it will be cold enough for some light snow. Across southeast Oklahoma, rain or freezing rain is possible early Tuesday morning, possibly mixing with a few snowflakes in the higher elevations. Precipitation amounts are forecast to be very light, which will minimize any impacts. Tuesday will be the coldest day of the week, with clearing skies from west to east through the day. For the rest of the week, seasonal temperatures are expected with highs generally in the 50s and lows in the 30s.
