22-year-old Tahlequah woman killed in wreck

(CHEROKEE COUNTY, Okla.) A young woman is dead after a wreck north of Tahlequah Tuesday evening. We're told the wreck happened just after 4:30 p.m. Troopers said Alicia Lucas, 22, was driving a 2018 Dodge Challenger south on State Highway 82 at a high rate of speed when she drove off the right side of the road and hit some trees. Lucas was thrown from the vehicle, which then burst into flames. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The wreck remains under investigation.
